On Friday, December 19, 2014, age 73, of Green Tree, formerly of Muse, PA. Beloved husband of Sandy Selva; loving father of Lisa (Greg) Fisher, Lynda Selva (Rex), John (Janelle) Selva, and Joe (Lisa) Yakelis; brother of Cindy (Ben) Shinsky; proud grandfather of Justin and Julia Fisher, Ava and Luca Selva, and Cole Yakelis; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends received Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie, where Funeral Service will be held on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. Please no flowers. Mel was employed by US Airways for 36 years as a mechanic. He loved to travel, garden, and fish. Immediately following services, family and friends are invited to celebrate Mel's life at a reception in the Polish White Eagles Club, Carnegie, PA.
