Alfred A. Wroblewski

March 24, 2015

On Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Beatrice Wroblewski; loving father of Diane (Ronald) Barszcz, Alfred D. Wroblewski, Elaine (Alan) Bram, Debra (Harry "Ed") Humbert; brother of Alfreda David and the late Jane Renshaw, Marceline Kirchner, Roman Wroblewski, Stephanie Sirko, Jerome Wroblewski, Lucille May-Spisak and Irene Nowakowski; proud grandfather of David Barszcz, Eric Bram and Lauren Bram.

He married the love of his life, Beatrice. They met more than 70 years ago and were married for 67 years. They were always there for each other, often seen holding hands and smiling. A brilliant engineer and problem solver who graduated from Carnegie Tech and worked at Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory until his retirement over 25 years ago. He was a hard worker his entire life, whether at work or at home. He loved being outdoors working in the yard or garden, but he was equally happy building or fixing something in his workshop. He had many hobbies, woodworking, winemaking, creating with stained glass, to name a few. There were always projects to work on. A strong man with a lot of integrity. The last two years, when he depended on others for some assistance, were challenging for him, but it allowed us time to get closer and express the love that we all have for each other.

A special thanks to Heartland Hospice and to the staff at ManorCare-Greentree who took care of him on several occasions over the last two years.

Friends received Friday 2-4, 6-8 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial in St. Ignatius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106.
