On Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Husband of the late Carolyn R. (Hoffman) Astfalk; loving father of Deborah (Steven) Gundersen, Jacqueline (Loren) Funt; John P. (Mary Jo) Astfalk and Michael T. (Carolyn) Astfalk of Hummelstown, PA; brother of the late Walter "Buggs" Astfalk and Lorraine Yurchak; also survived by 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends received Sunday 3-7 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Jack served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a longtime employee of the Pittsburgh Press. Burial with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
