Age 92, of Country Meadows, on Friday, September 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Marie (Haupl) Hays with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2016. Loving father of Terry (Suzanne), Jim (Kathe), Michael (Tara) and Kathy (Dennis) Habovick; proud grandpa of Autumn, Ian, Jonah, Kim (Chris), Gretchen (Sean), Stephanie (Jeff), Jessica (Jared), Alex (Christina) and the late Andrew and Jamie; also survived by 13 great- grandchildren. Jack was born June 11, 1924, son of the late Dawson and Lucile Hays. He was a 1942 graduate of Peabody High School, a United States Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific on the USS Queens. Jack worked at Anchor Supply Co. for 40 years retiring as executive vice president. Jack's leisure time was spent fishing in Canada. Friends received Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial in SS Simon & Jude Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
