Age 63, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, passed away peacefully at her home, after a brave fight with cancer. Mary Lou was born in Pittsburgh, September 20, 1953, and married William J. McQuillan on October 11, 1975. Beloved mother of Heather Cammisa, Sean and Caitlin McQuillan; loving Grammy of Angelo Cammisa; dear sister of Kathy (Mike) Thomann, Theresa (Dan) Malik, Joanne (George) Pilon, Frank (Patty) Urbanek and the late John P. Urbanek, Jr. Also preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian (Kochanski) Urbanek. More than anything, she was dedicated to her family and the many students that she taught through the years, most recently at Friendship Academy in Pittsburgh. Many of Mary Lou's students experienced difficult circumstances in their lives, and she never stopped believing in them, helping to give them hope for the future. Friends received Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial in Ss. Simon and Jude Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
