Peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born April 20, 1941, to the late Walter and Anna Szczerba. Alice was married to the late Orville P. Rock who preceded her in death in September of 1991. Loving mother of Paul (Mary), Allen (Julie), David (Debbie), James (Jodi) and Larry (Kelly) and the late Kimberly Augustine and Lauree Hensler; sister of Walter (Pat) Sherba and the late Edward Szalejka, Joseph Sherba, John Charles Sherba, Gladys Matwiczyk, Mary Leninsky, Josephine Keenan and Robert Sherba; proud grandmother of Katie, Arianna, Ethan, Hunter, Josh, Rebecca, Adam and Nathan; and one great-grandchild, Cooper James; also surviving is her best friend and niece, Patty Matwiczyk, who Alice was inseparable from for the last 70 years. Friends received Monday 3-5, 7-9 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053.
