Suddenly, on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Loving husband and best friend of 40 years to Shelley Sawicki; dear father of Jacqueline (Ryan) Neve and Joshua Sawicki; grandfather of R.J. and Daniella Neve; brother-in-law of Gregory (Karey) Volensky; nephew of Ann Zebracki and the late Julius and Jean Zebracki; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends received Friday 4-8 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with his cousin, Father Tom Schaefer officiating. John taught for 38 years in the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, last teaching in the South Park School District.
