On Saturday, September 22, 2018 Husband of the late Shirley Halaski; loving father of Donna (Jim) Slusser; brother of the late Laura Girlardo, Helen Macurio, Freddy and Teddy Halaski; Gramps of Nicole and Jimmy Slusser. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian Burial in SS. Simon and Jude Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial with full Military Honors in Chartiers Cemetery. Cas was a Korean War veteran. Volunteered at the Aspinwall VA Hospital for over 20 years. Was Past Commander of the American Legion Post 823. Retired as a Lieutenant from the city of Pittsburgh Fire Department. Cas loved his polkas, and sang in the Helen Matlack Polka Choir, and also loved his coffee and food HOT!. Donna and Jim would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion given to their father.
