Beloved husband of 67 years to Stephanie "Steffie" Raffa; loving father of Leonard (Janice) Raffa; brother of Helen Lefkowitz, Stella Albright, Caroline Sitarik and the late Joseph Tasz and Nellie Collins; proud grandfather of Stephen and Chelsea Raffa. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie. Mass of Christian burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. John was employed by Universal Cyclops for 38 years. A former member of the Dormont Horseshoe Club where he was inducted into their Horseshoe Hall of Fame. A member of the VFW and American Legion, John served with the US Navy during WWII as a Gunner's First Mate. Burial with full military honors in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
