Joseph M. Sliwinski

Passed away at the age of 82 on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. Beloved husband of 58 years to Frances "Fran" Sliwinski; son of the late Stanley and Helen Sliwinski; cherished father to Cheryl (Mario) Mosesso, Debbie (Kevin) Cox, Patty (Randy) Pearson, and Janice (Gary) Hamilton; DziaDzi to 8 grandchildren Aaron and Nicole (fiancé Danny Smith) Mosesso, Abigail and Samuel Cox, Chris (Blythe Dennis) and Ashley Pearson, Nick (Larissa) Hamilton, Samantha (Dylan) Archinal; Great-DziaDzi of Piper Marie Archinal; brother of Stanley (Patricia) Sliwinski and Thomas (Eve) Sliwinski; also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.

Joe was an active member of All Saints PNCC Carnegie for many years prior to his stroke. He loved singing in the choir and Bard, was a member of the Men’s Club, served as financial secretary, as well as managing the church hall.

During retirement, he spent time watching after his grandchildren, enjoyed dinners with friends, and doing jigsaw, word search and crossword puzzles.

He will be fondly remembered for his favorite sayings like “Oh boy, Almond Joy” and “boom boom”.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. at 101 Third St., Carnegie.

A private family Blessing Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020. Burial will follow in All Saints P.N.C. Church Cemetery.

Masks are required for visitation, Blessing Service and burial.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
