Walter J. Bielecki

Walter J. Bielecki passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 97. Beloved husband of 73 years to Clara Bielecki. Loving father of Paul (Jeanne) Bielecki, Bernadine (George) Egg, Marlene (Charles) Conatser, and Daniel (Dorothy) Bielecki. Brother of Joseph (late Norma Jean) Bielecki, the late John (late Anne) Bielecki, and the late Helen (late John) Kaszalowicz. Also survived by eleven grandchildren: Emily, Matthew, Brooke, Jennifer, Rebecca, Kathy, Steve , Kevin, Sarah, Misty and Jonathan. Three great grandchildren: Leo, Benjamin and Lillian and several nieces, nephews and many great friends and neighbors.

He was born June 17, 1924 in Carnegie, PA to parents, Paul and Anna Bielecki. He was married to his loving wife, Clara Mielcarek, on January 22, 1948.

He served in the United States Army Air Forces as an airplane mechanic during WWII. He and his wife raised their four children, attending St. Ignatius church. He was a member of the traditional, Resurrection and Polka Mass choirs where he and Clara made many wonderful friends and memories. He enjoyed his work as a meat cutter. He was proud of the house he and family built in Glendale where he lived with Clara for 69 years.

He enjoyed working hard, a good meal, a clean joke, singing and most of all providing for and protecting his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends are received Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 3-7 pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow with full Military Honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
