A lot of us have our own stories of who we thought Mark Franc was. Depending on the person you ask you may get a normal story or you may get an out of this world story. Either way, Mark had a way of impacting all the people he ever came in contact with.

Mark was a funny guy…sometimes. He thought he was funny all the time. He was a jokester. He would crack jokes to whoever would listen to him. He was constantly making jokes about something or someone, even when some people thought he was crazy and not funny. Mark was one of the easiest people to talk to. He made friends with anyone he came in contact with. Mark never took life too seriously. He just lived it up until the moment he left this world. He didn’t care what people thought of him, he lived the life he wanted to. Mark was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if that was all he had left. He cared more for others than he did himself.

Mark was a husband of 38 years to his wife Donna. They were together for 40 years. Mark was a father. Mark & Donna had 9 children together. Kristen, Steven, Brandon, Cassandra, Ashley, Mark, Bryson, Austin, & Brett. He would get so embarrassed, because he had Brett later in life and people would make comments calling Brett his grandson. Mark always joked when he told people he had 9 kids. He said “I did too much drinking and not enough thinking.” We were not your typical Brady Bunch family. We yelled, swore, and fought like we were in the WWE, but at the end of the day there was always love between all of us.

Mark was a grandfather or what his grandkids referred to as Pap Pap. Mark had 8 grandchildren: Charles, Catherine, Stephanie, Kyndra, Stella, Samuel, Sadie, & Hudson. He also had 1 late granddaughter Harleigh. We’re all pretty positive Harleigh was waiting at heaven’s gate to see her pap pap again. Mark’s grandchildren meant the absolute world to him. The depths he would go to make those little ones happy was endless. Mark took pride in being a grandfather. He would get in trouble from the parents doing nonsense for the kids.

Mark loved motorcycles. He was a Harley Davidson kind of guy. Give him a nice day in the summer, you would find him riding. Rides going absolutely no where or motorcycle runs, didn’t matter.

Although Mark’s life was cut short suddenly and unexpectedly, his legacy and the impact he left on so many lives will live forever. He was the craziest, whackiest, stubborn, frustrating man anyone has ever met, but we all loved him so much.
