Joseph John Williams

Joseph John (Joe) Williams, 70, of Carnegie, PA tragically left this earth on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was born in St. John Hospital on the North Side to Joseph and Francis Williams on June 25, 1951. 

Joe graduated from Oliver High School and worked for CSX Railroad for 40 years. In high school he met the love of his life Helen (Zastawa) Williams. They fell in love and married in 1970. Joe was fiercely proud of his family which included two sons and two grandsons. He was also very passionate about helping his family, any dog he encountered, his lifelong friends and the railroad. Joe enjoyed nature, a nice wine and a good cigar.  

Joe is survived by his wife Helen, his sons Joseph (Lisa Simmons), Gregory (Tamara Teaford), grandsons Joseph and Justin, siblings Mary (Bill) Rabenstein, Frank, Pete (Michelle), Bernard (Arlene), Betty (the late Bill) McCracken, Charles, Kathleen (Jerome) Vergerio, Paul, Rose (the late Ernie) Miale, Jacqueline Reiber, Leanne (Joe) McCullar and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Francis and Joseph Williams, sister Estelle Cameron and brother Gregory. 

A memorial gathering will be held at the Valley Veterans Club 108 E Beaver St, Sewickley, PA 15143 on Saturday November 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for close family and friends.  

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation be made to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (https://humaneanimalrescue.org) or any animal charity of your choice.
