Age 58, of Oakdale, PA, was welcomed into heaven on the evening of October 31, 2022 after a lengthy battle with her health.

Carla was born on August 22, 1964 in Antelope Valley of Lancaster, CA to Earl and Lillian (Pierce) McMinn. She grew up in Quartz Hill, CA and attended Quartz Valley High School where she graduated in 1982. A few years later, on October 17th, 1989, Carla married the love of her life, Andrew Castillo. The two spent 33 happy years together traveling and experiencing the joys of life together.

Carla was full of love and she shared it with her family every single day. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and listening to music. She was full of life and happiness and she will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carla is preceded in death by her brothers William and James McMinn.

Carla is survived by her husband, Andrew Castillo, as well as her children, Joseph and his fiancé Ashley, Lillian, and Olivia Castillo, and Victoriana (Eduardo) Serrano. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Andrew, Nevaeh, Lilah, Juniper, Louise, and another beautiful grandbaby on the way.

Carla’s siblings, Ronald (Joann) McMinn, Karen (Bryan) McClure, Lorie McMinn, and Tina (Kevin) Gaines, as well as many nieces and nephews will also carry on her memory in their hearts.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 12 noon - 1 pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1 pm.
