Age 94, of Carnegie, on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Wife of the late Frank Sujdak; mother of Andrew (Nancy) Sujdak and Elaine Mitchell; preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers; grandmother of Nathan (Ashley) Mitchell; great-grandmother of Ava Mitchell.

Julia was born May 27, 1927, in East Carnegie to the late Helen and Stanley Smosna. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother to a family that will be missing her dearly. She was always the life of the party and had jokes for days. Some of the things she enjoyed were traveling to different casinos, watching her Penguins, Pirates and Steelers win numerous championships, playing cards, bingo and being an active member at the Carnegie Senior Center. Julie was one of the people, who when they walked in the room, just automatically put a smile on your face and made your day that much brighter. Julie, we are so happy that we had the chance to have you in our lives and you made all of your 34,581 days on this world count. We love you much!

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 3-7 pm. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11 am. Julie will be laid to rest with her husband, Frank, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
