Kenneth S. Szafranski

December 14, 1938

On Monday, March 14, 2022, following a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Leonard J. & Monica B. Szafranski, Sr.

Ken was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife Stella (Sienicki) Szafranski, celebrating in 2022, 60 years of marriage. Son, Gary (Jill), daughter, Heather (Jim), grandchildren, Evan Szafranski, Matthew & Luke Holtschlag. In addition, two brothers and best friends, Leonard (Loretta) Szafranski, & Wayne (Judith) Szafranski. Ken also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws of the extended Sienicki family, who gathered for many family celebrations that meant a lot to him. He will be deeply missed by all.

Ken proudly served as a dedicated member of the Scott Township Police Department for over thirty years. He retired as a Sergeant in 1997.

Special thanks to the wonderful neighbors, his caregivers, Ariel, Beth and Nurse Julie, who brightened his day!

Arrangement have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Following Mass, Ken will be laid to rest in St. Ignatius/St. Mary's Cemetery.
