On Sunday, June 4, 2023. Beloved husband of Mary Cay (Steinmetz) Dunmyer; loving father of Nicholas (Stephanie) Dunmyer, Kristen (Jeff) D'Eramo, and Katie (David) Zinski; brother of Debbie (Dan) Weber, Denyse (David) Wasilewski, and Dan (Nancy) Dunmyer; grandfather of Ryan, Megan, Kylie, Bella, Addison, Evelyn, and Remi; also survived by generations of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jack loved to support all Pittsburgh sports teams, but none more than his Pirates. He spent several years working in the press elevator at PNC Park where he was able to live his best life, supporting his favorite team, and meeting many of the Pittsburgh greats. When he was there, he was in his element. The only thing Jack loved more than the Pirates was his family, especially his seven grandchildren. He spent as much time as possible going to every event that he could, sitting on the couch watching the kids play, and finding any way possible to torment each and every one of them because anyone who knew him knew that was his was his sign of affection. He was immensely proud of all of his grandchildren and was overjoyed to see his only grandson, Ryan, enlist in the Navy in 2022.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, where family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in All Saints P.N.C. Cemetery.
