Bonnie C. Eriksen

September 19, 1938

February 4, 2023

On Saturday, February 4, 2023. Wife of the late Thomas J. Conley, Jr. and Tage Finn Eriksen. Loving mother of Colleen (Terry) Bimle, Katie (Bob) Zimmerman, and Maureen (John) Linkosky. Sister of David, Bob (Angie), Jim (Susan) Dombrosky, and the late Dan (Rena survives), and Bernie (Elke survives) Dombrosky. Grandmother of Adam (Eileen) Bimle, Hannah (Dan) Wright, Jesse (Catherine), Thomas (Collette), Zach (Caris), Miles (Abigail), Alex (Chelsea), R.J., Joseph, and Mary Kate Zimmerman, Sarah (John) Malecki, Kate (Josh Cenci) Linkosky and John Linkosky. Also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie married her high school sweetheart, Tom Conley, shortly after graduating from Scott Township High School, Carnegie, PA. They had three lovely daughters, Colleen, Kathleen, and Maureen. Bonnie spent a few years working at Gimbels and US Steel prior to spending almost 20 years with US Airways. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She often spoke of a trip to England with her mother and father, in addition to a trip with Tom to Hawaii. As life would have it, the Lord took Tom at a young age causing Bonnie much sadness. As time progressed and with Bonnie’s sadness growing, her Uncle Merle in Phoenix, AZ asked her to visit, where she met a wonderful Danish gentleman, Tage Finn Eriksen whom she later married. They traveled about as he was a distinguished chef. They settled back in the South Hills of Pittsburgh in the late 2000’s. Bonnie re-connected with cousins, family and friends which brought her much happiness. Bonnie enjoyed golfing with her dad and five brothers. She was of strong faith and part of the Resurrection Parish – St. Thomas More community, where she volunteered as a lector, CCD instructor and collection counter. She loved spending time being silly with her grandchildren, they referred to her as “Honey”. Unfortunately, Bonnie was diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease that caused her to lose those cherished memories that her pretty blue eyes witnessed. While Bonnie’s quality of life diminished, we now know she is at peace and will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 3-7 pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Resurrection Parish, St. Thomas More Church on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10 am. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Willow Unit of Asbury Heights for all their care and compassion given to our mother over the years.
