Peacefully, on Friday, January 6, 2023. Wife of the late John Filipek Jr.; loving mother of Diane (late Herman) Lippold, and Dave (Jennifer) Filipek; sister of Sylvia (Ted) Gazda, and John (Bernadette) Czarniecki; sister-in-law of Pat (late Sonny) McKee. and Debbie (late Mike) Kozak; grandmother of Sabrina, Abby (Cody) Turkovich, Jonathon, and Benita. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1 pm. Following the Blessing Service, Bernice will be laid to rest next to her husband, John, in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
