Lawrence J. "Larry" Gaburri

March 16, 1942

December 1, 2023

Suddenly on Friday, December 1, 2023. Beloved husband of Carole Gaburri; loving father of Larry Gaburri and Michele Brennen; proud Pap of Ashley Brennen, Allison (Blake) Wargo, Alexa Brennen, Zachary Brennen, and Zane Brennen; Brother of Barbara (James) Mentzer, Joseph (Mara) Gaburri, Gregory Gaburri, and the late Joyce (late John) Barrow; also survived by generations of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Larry’s greatest joy in life was the time he had with his family and five grandchildren. He was a proud veteran of The United States Marines and loved sharing all of his stories with them. He was well known for making a friend anywhere he went. His love for the Church and God never wavered and he was loved there. He shared his time servicing our Lord through the Food Bank and the Knights of Columbus. Our time with him would never have been enough, but our love for him is forever strong. God bless the man with many names… son, brother, husband, dad, pap, and friend. You will be forever missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 3-7PM and a Knights of Columbus Service will be held at 6:30PM at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Ss. Simon and Jude Church, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11:00AM. Larry will be laid to rest with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 2:30PM. For those attending the burial, please meet at the cemetery at 2:20PM.
