Dolores V. Herwig

On Tuesday June 6, 2023. Beloved wife of 56 years to George Herwig; loving mother of Robert (Donna), Gary (Pam), and Scott (Dawn) Szarmach and Patti (Tony) Balestra; sister of Bonnie (Joe) Hritz and the late Frank (Brenda survives) Bujalski; grandmother of Justin, Jaxson, Gary Jr. and Careen Szarmach, Nicole Balestra and Allison (Aaron) Seelbinder; great-grandmother of Andrew. Also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.
Our beautiful Dolores absolutely adored her family and spending as much time with them as she could. Cooking and baking ran throughout her blood, always making sure everyone ate. She enjoyed watching her crime shows along with sports with her husband. Dolores wasn’t just your typical grandma, she was a cool grandma, willing to do anything to make you smile, including getting tattoos. She was the definition of a true farm chick with how she cared for the animals and always giving them treats. She loved to be silly when she was in the swimming pool drinking her chocolate wine or margarita’s. Dolores was the most sweetest, selfless, kindhearted person and has left a mark on anyone’s heart she came across. We can’t wait to see her again.
