Warmheartedly known as "Bean" by her siblings and "Mar" by her friends, had a passion for crocheting, crafting, playing bingo, dancing, Doo-Wop music, and occasional trips to the casino. She adored camping with her late husband, Harold, and family. She enjoyed taking her granddaughters and nieces on golf cart rides around the campground and teaching them how to play bingo. She was a very good cook and baker and was renowned for her homemade candies, potato salad, potato pancakes, and pumpkin rolls. She had an affinity for toy border collies and enjoyed spending time with her side-kick "Sassy."

She was a strong-willed and independent woman that instilled the importance of a strong work ethic into her sons at a very young age. She was an entrepreneurial-mined, independent businesswoman who created many start-up businesses in the food service and craft industry. She demonstrated her creativity in crocheting blankets, pillows, scarves, stockings, and other clothing, as well as crafting baby dolls and many other crafts. Her tough exterior masked a kind heart that would do anything for her family and friends. She will be dearly and deeply missed by all of her loved ones.
