Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, holding the seat of Treasurer for many years. He was a Life Member of Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Department, where he was previously the Fire Police Captain. He celebrated 50 years of service to the Rennerdale VFD this past July. He was an integral part of the department and was one of their first EMT's starting their volunteer BLS service. Bob started the Fire Police service and held many positions within the department over the years. He was also a proud member of US Army National Guard. He enjoyed going to breakfast every other week with several retired Chartiers Valley school bus drivers and custodians at JoJo's. He had a fantastic sense of humor. Bob was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, having held season tickets for many years. He also enjoyed going to RMU hockey games, both home and away. He attended college later in life, graduating from Robert Morris University, at age 64, with a B.S. in Accounting. Many people in Carnegie remember Bob from his job at the First Federal Bank. He was a true dog lover and was the Gatekeeper for the Greater Pittsburgh Golden Retriever Club for Agility Trials. Bob’s distinctive voice carried through the churches of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish as he shared the words from the bible as a dedicated reader for decades.
