Dolores M. "Dee" Kochin

June 20, 1929

April 12, 2023

Age “59” as she always told her grandkids.

Dee was born on June 20, 1929 to Lottie and Joseph Jesiolkiewic of McDonald, PA.
She grew up with her nine siblings: Carl (Vi) Jesiolkiewic, the late Jean (the late Fife) Iacono, the late Blanche (the late Lou) Trombetta, the late Melvin(the late Virginia) Jesiolkiewic, the late Joseph(the late Katherine) Jessaloski, the late Lottie (the late Gene) Rice, the late Joseph (the late Audrey) Jessal, the late Stanley(the late Ann) Jessloski, and the late Barbara (Dale) Reither.

Dee married the love of her life, the late Frank Kochin, and had eight beautiful children.
Frank (Elizabeth) Kochin, Stanley (Carol) Kochin, the late Dr. Deborah Handerhan, Dr. Edward (Karen Ulanowski) Kochin, the late William Kochin, Nancy (Tim) Baker, Becky Hommrich, and Kathy Kochin.

She was a young widow, with a strong faith in God and loads of love and determination, who did an amazing job of raising her children to be independent, educated, and have strong family values. Dee had a heart of gold and a special gift of making everyone she talked to feel loved and special. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were always her top priority and she never missed a moment to share a story about how proud she was of each and every one of them! Her pierogies, golumbki, and cherry squares were second to none, and her yearly Christmas rendition of the Pojdzmy song was legendary!

Dee is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Frank (Megan) Kochin, Kalynn (Derek) Kniptash, Marian (Payton Elwonger) Kochin, William (Alyssa) Kochin, Ben Hommrich, Joe Hommrich and Stephen Baker, and her great-grandchildren, Elliot, Margot, and Frankie Kochin, and Grady and Grace Kniptash, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI_EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St, Carnegie, where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm.
