On Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Age 87, of Heidelberg, formerly of Stowe Township. Son of Felixia Hands and Albert Koza of Warsaw, Poland. The last and youngest of 10: Bennie, Julie Kerterz, Joseph, Frank, Elizabeth Kordyak, Paul, Edward, Stanley, and Mary. Husband of Dolores Sypien Kosol. Father of Michael (Karen); stepfather of Ronald (Dolores) Sheppard, Staci Lynn (Jerry) DiClaudio, and Suzanne Leigh (John) Flory of Cleveland; Grandfather of Eric Kosol-Smith (Amanda) and Kevin Kosol of Atlanta, GA; Step Grandfather of Christopher (Yasmeen) Sheppard, Christina (Joe) Chesno, Mitchell (Lacie) DiClaudio, Joseph Flory and John Flory; also survived by several great-grandchildren and generations of nieces and nephews.

Albert served 8 years in the Army National Guard, retired from Dominion Energy, and enjoyed retirement for 28+ years. He served 14 years of dedicated service to the Borough of Heidelberg as Councilman and Chairman of the Public Roads Department.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2-7PM at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Ss. Simon and Jude Church, on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery, McKees Rocks, PA.
