On Thursday, June 6, 2024. Daughter of the late Martin A. Beck and Hilda E. Beck; beloved wife of Donald F. Campbell; loving mother of Donald (Suzanne) Campbell and Patty (Ron) Yardas; proud grandmother of Zachary Campbell, Nicholas (Kelly) Campbell, Courtney Campbell, Cody (Fiance Megan) Campbell, Jennifer Yardas, and Ron Yardas; great-grandmother of Alex and Liv Campbell; sister of Mary Louise (late Don) Gruda, and the late Ruth (late Frank) Nicholas, late Martin (late Gayl) Beck, late Bernard (late Dorothy) Beck, and late Raymond (Jean survives) Beck; also survived by generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
Dottie was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed many family holidays and birthdays, and she loved cooking and baking for friends and family. She grew up on a farm near Chartiers Terrace where she helped her mother cook and bake for the family. Dottie worked in Pittsburgh as a bookkeeper until she married her husband, Donald F Campbell on November 8, 1958. Dottie loved playing cards, bingo, baking, and camping with her family. She was a member of Saints Simon and Jude church, Greentree Road, and was a member of the PTG and the school athletics ladies auxiliary. She was a big supporter of her children and grandchildren in all of their activities from kindergarten through college. Dottie worked as a cashier at Wendy’s for 23 years. After retiring, Dottie and Don were snow birds in Venice, Florida for many years. She truly loved family and was a selfless person who put others first.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 3-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:30am. Following Mass, Dottie will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
