Age 93, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Lillian was born on December 14, 1930 to the late Michael and Mary Andrews. She grew up and lived her whole life in Heidelberg. Lillian was an only child.

Lillian was the beloved wife of the late James Gatts; loving mother of Nancy (Eric Burgh) Itzel and Mary (Jim) Cummings; proud grandma of Emily (Matthew) Linneman, Ryan Itzel and Michael (Mallory) Cummings; great-grandmother of Julia, Alice, Hunter, Avalynn, Makenna and Marshall.

Lillian was always there for her family through rough times and loved to talk about her great grandchildren to anyone to would listen. She was an avid volunteer in her youth and loved being apart of the volunteer fire department. Her favorite hobby was playing Bingo- and she always had the lucky cards- playing the accordion and listening to polka music.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 3pm-7pm at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11am. Following the Blessing Service, Lillian will be laid to rest with her husband, James, in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
