On Monday, April 1, 2024, age 63, of Heidelberg. Daughter of Patricia and the late Donald Hughes; beloved wife of Joe Griffith; loving mother of Morgan (Alex) Vandenberg, Derek Wright, and Jenna Salerno; proud grandmother of Maddox Vandenberg and Nolan Salerno; younger sister of Cindy (Ted) Barowich, Don Hughes, and Gary Hughes. She is also survived by a nephew, Ian Hughes, and niece, Kristin Hughes, and several cousins.

A 1978 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School, Kim worked as a Secretary for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in downtown Pittsburgh from 1981 until her retirement in October 2017, where she built life-long friendships. Kim was a devoted mother and her two young grandsons were the light of her life. She was kind-hearted and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00am.

The family would like to thank the staff in the Intensive Care Unit of Mercy Hospital for all of the expert care and heartfelt compassion given to Kim.
