On Friday, May 24, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Son of the late Joseph and Nola (Tidball) Herman; beloved husband of Lucille (Gazda) Herman; brother of James Herman, Judith (Jack) Kosslow, Eleanor Brickley, Lawrence (Elaine) Herman, Ralph (Margaret) Herman, and the late David Herman and Frederick (Lynn survives) Herman; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews. Bob was thankful and blessed to have Lucille's children: Tim (Kelly), Tom (Molly), Nick (Beth) Gazda; their children Adam Gazda and Jacob (Erin) Gazda; and their grandchildren Cameron and Owen in his life.

Bob retired from the U.S. Air Force and began a successful career in investments, ultimately becoming Senior Vice President with Janney Montgomery Scott.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 2-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 1:00pm. Following Mass, Bob will be laid to rest with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
