John J. Stawiarski

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Carlene Stawiarski. Beloved father of John (MaryJo) Stawiarski, Timothy Stawiarski, Kevin (Marjory) Stawiarski, and James (Tara) Stawiarski; loving grandfather of Brett (Kelly) Stawiarski, Scott Stawiarski, Shawn Stawiarski and Aaron Stawiarski; proud great-grandfather to Owen and Carter Stawiarski; brother of Leo (late Gerry) Stawiarski; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine, and his siblings and their spouses: Blanche (Joseph) Raco, Walter Stawiarski, Josephine (Harvey) Harbaugh, Vikki (Henry Martin and Leonard Iacona) Iacona, and Louis (Mildred) Stawiarski.

John served the community of Heidelberg as the chief of police for a number of years. After his retirement from the police force, he found a second career as a bus driver for the Chartiers Valley School District.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 3-7PM at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:30AM. Following Mass, John will be laid to rest with his wife, Carlene, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
