Unexpectedly on August 23, 2025, of Scott Township, Age 76. Beloved mother of Eric Robert and Bryan Matthew Brentin; she was the daughter of the late Robert Ellis and Rose K. Story; oldest and caring sister of Linda J. Story, Lavelma R. Uffelman, Joanne M. (late Charles) Dato, and Roberta (Joe) Valentich; loving grandma of Allie Brentin Schuljak; great grandma of Emma and Raetta; she is survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved grand-dog, Halford.

Karen was a 1966 graduate of Chartiers Valley. She started her career at Mellon Bank in Carnegie and left for a position as administrative assistant to food service director at Kane Regional in Scott Township, from which she retired after 39 years of service. Karen loved the Pittsburgh Penguins, crossword puzzles, playing cards, 500 bid slots, bingo and a good cup of fresh coffee. She was fun, loving, and caring soul. Raising her two sons and always looking out for our Grandma Klutch after a stroke and her six year stay at Kane Hospital in Scott. Thank you KB. She will be deeply and sadly missed by her friends and family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. As per request of her family, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1:00pm.
