Philomena R. Bruno

On Thursday, April 3, 2025. Daughter of the late Louis and Maria Bruno; sister of the late Thomas (late Ann) Bruno, Samuel (Kathryn survives) Bruno, Amelia (late Robert) Bigley, Antoinette (late George) Meredith, Frances Gentile, and Frank (Alice survives) Bruno; dear friend of Mary Jane Charitan and her family; also survived by generations of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Philomena worked at St. Paul's Orphanage, Woodville State Hospital and then Mayview State Hospital for a total of 30 years. Philomena walked everywhere in Carnegie and always included a stop at church for daily Mass. She loved her church and was very strong in her faith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 3-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:00am. Following Mass, Philomena will be laid to rest in Holy Souls Cemetery.
