On Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Figura; life long partner for 50 years of Maria DiClemente; sister of the late Joseph (late Teresa) Figura; Aunt of Bernadette (Gary) Veneski, Denise (Anthony) Chiodo, and Joseph M. (Karen) Figura II; Great Aunt of Emily (Philip) Cannata, Andrew (Coti) Veneski, Michael (Jessica) Chiodo, Nicole Chiodo, Morgan (Michael) Ruffing, J.R. Figura, Dr. Mindy (Dr. Anthony) Pinter, and Dr. Matthew (Alexis) Stauffer; Great great Aunt of Philip, Patrick, Paxton, Parker, Brayden, Demi, Brooke, Noah, Tyla, Travis, Maddie, Mia, Mikey, Artie, Sarah, Elise, Nicholas, Alex, and Noah; Special cousin of Victoria O’Bosky; sister in law of Anna (Tom) Stauffer, Michael DiClemente, and Toni Page; also survived by generations of cousins.

Barbara was a nurse for many years. She received her nursing degree from St. Johns and LaRoche college. She was a nurse at St Johns and retired from her nursing career from the PA State penitentiary. She cared for her patients, always offering comfort and kindness. Nursing was not only her profession but her calling.

Outside of work, Barbara had a soft spot for animals. Especially her rabbit and her dogs. She loved them deeply.

Barbara treasured her family and friends, but especially her great-great nieces and nephews! She didn’t like to miss a chance to celebrate life’s big and small moments. Her warmth, wit and generous heart will be remembered always.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 2-6pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00am. Following Mass, Barbara Jean will be laid to rest in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
