A life-long resident of Collier Township, PA lived a full life and passed away on her 82nd birthday, April 3, 2025. Born on April 3, 1943, Georgiene was a retired educator, an active member of All Saints PNCC Parish, a strong believer in integrative medicine and wellness through Medical Wellness Associates, and a member of several local civic organizations. Family and friends knew Georgiene as the sweet soul with a love of plants and gardening. Her friends and family also knew that Georgiene never worried about being late; she lived by the “better late than never” motto. Though, when Georgiene arrived somewhere, she was never empty handed. She always came prepared with a smile to light up the room, a thoughtful gift, and her camera. She leaves behind a mountain of pictures and memories, a legacy of kindness and thoughtfulness, and a reminder that we should all not take ourselves quite so seriously and stop to appreciate the flowers. Georgiene is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Bertha Katocs whom she loved dearly. She is survived by many cousins and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2-6pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in All Saints P.N.C. Church on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00am. Following Mass, Georgiene will be laid to rest in All Saints P.N.C. Cemetery.
