James Richard "Jim" Kusluch

April 28, 1939

May 15, 2025

Age 86, of Carnegie, PA, formerly of Meadville, PA and Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Jim was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Kusluch. He is survived by their five children, Deborah Simonson, Kenneth Kusluch (Arlene), Michelle Lust (Jim), Robert Kusluch (Lauri), and Kimberly Kusluch (James Silver), and their 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his sister, Linda Hoesch (Joe), and proceeded in death by his brother, Gerald Kusluch (Tami).

Born April 28, 1939, Jim had an incredible 86 years of life. He married Donna on December 30, 1957, at just 18 years of age. They started their family in their hometown of Pittsburgh a year after. They built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure over their 67 years of marriage.

Known as one of the best mechanics in the country, Jim worked hard to support his family. He was a Senior Master Auto Technician for General Motors. When he worked for McMinn Oldsmobile, he had the pleasure of working alongside his son and future sons-in-law. He eventually retired in Meadville and never slowed down. He continued to train the next generation of mechanics as an automotive instructor for General Motors at CCAC. After he retired from teaching, Jim could always be found tinkering on a new project.

An incredibly industrious and considerate man, he was clever and always had something witty to add to any conversation. Whenever someone needed help, he was always willing to lend a hand, especially when Donna volunteered him. Jim is beloved by many and will be missed dearly. We take solace in knowing that he has been reunited with Donna in their eternal life together.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 3-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. The Knights of Columbus will hold a service at the funeral home during visitations at 6:45pm.
