It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Celeste Charlotte (Blockowicz) Stasiowski, on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Celeste was born on May 26, 1938. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley, son Gary, her parents, Joseph and Julia (Rakoczy), as well as brother Edward (Margaret) Blockowicz, sister Loretta (Don) Miller, and sister-in-law Patricia (Carmen) Bevilaqua.
Celeste is survived by her children: Jill Shrensky (David Rukavina), Beth Torchia (James), Joan Stasiowski-McKinin (Aaron), and Mark Stasiowski (Onnolee), grandchildren Rachel Schweiger (Michael), CJ Hoenke (Libby), Ian Shrensky, Anthony Torchia, and Nicholas Torchia, as well as three great-grandchildren Maverick, Piper, and Sunnie Hoenke, She is also survived by her sister Genevieve Chatowski, niece Catherine Chatowski, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Celeste cherished her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as daughter and sister. She placed a high value on family dinners and gatherings. Celeste had a diverse range of talents and professional experiences, including teaching, retail, and background investigation. She was an accomplished seamstress, crafting garments ranging from wedding gowns to prom dresses. Celeste enjoyed cooking and continually tried new recipes.
Celeste will be dearly missed by her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 3 PM – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Street, Carnegie on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM. A celebration of Celeste’s life will follow.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to their Community Food Bank.
