February 7, 2026

We share the passing of Alice Elizabeth (Gruda) Annesi on February 7, 2026 where she passed comfortably at home with family after her battle with Parkinson's Disease. Daughter of the late Walter and Alice Elizabeth (Snyder) Gruda; Beloved mother of Louis William (Melissa) Annesi and Lynn Ann (Andy) Annesi Desmet Greer; proud grandmother of Alisha (Nathan) Presutti, David (Allyse) Hawkins, Shane (Dana) Annesi, Brittany Leonard, Shelby (Derek) Colinear; great grandmother of Brayden, Evelyn, Angelo, Armani, Vada, Eliza, David, Cyrus, Ava, Lainey, and the late Isabella; sister of Sandy Lamb, Debbie Denardis, and the late Myrtle Gruda, Donald Gruda, Walter Gruda and Lorraine Fleck.

Alice was born on June 17, 1940. She was a graduate of Saint Luke's School in Carnegie and was a member of the church. She was a devout Catholic who lived her life integrating her faith into daily life. Alice worked for Dravo Corporation as a Telecommunication Coordinator Operator and then she moved on to work at Kvaerner. Alice then landed a position in the Allegheny County Sheriff's investigations department from where she retired. She most valued and enjoyed spending all the time she could with family and friends. She was always kind, caring, and witty and made people laugh. She loved to "go bumming" and shop for unwanted treasures. She will truly be missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2:00pm until time of Blessing Service at 6:00pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. Alice will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Alice's name to the Parkinson's charity of your choosing.
