Diane C. McGuire passed away on September 16, 2026. Diane was born and raised in Scott Township and remained a lifelong resident of the community she loved. The youngest of five children, she was deeply connected to her family throughout her life. Family was everything to Diane, and she treasured the relationships, traditions, and memories they shared.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Seibert and Portia Drummond, followed by the loving arms of Francesca (Fran) Drummond and her family, and her beloved husband, Thomas J. McGuire. She is survived by her son, Louis (Leah) Jesiolkiewic, her three stepchildren, Tammy (Danny) Chesky, Thomas (Nikki) McGuire, and Tracy Creely, her six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and was incredibly proud of; her siblings, Keith Drummond, Kenneth (Claire) Drummond, Vicki (Keith) Sperring, and Patti Drummond; and generations of nieces and nephews.

Diane built a career in banking before spending decades alongside her beloved husband of nearly 40 years, Tom, at the Fireside Inn. The Inn became a significant part of their lives together, and over the many years they spent there, Diane formed some of the most meaningful friendships of her life.

For nearly two years, Diane battled cancer with extraordinary courage. She fought ferociously, but she did so with a grace and strength that reflected the woman she had always been.

Diane had a special love for dogs. Through her hardest days, her most recent dog, Tito, brought her endless joy and companionship.

Diane also loved the beach. There was something about putting her feet in the sand, feeling the warmth of the sun, and simply being there that made her happy.

Those who knew Diane will remember her for her warmth, generosity, and kindness. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and she gave so much of herself to the people she loved.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 5:00pm until time of Blessing Service at 6:30pm at 101 Third Street, Carnegie.
