On Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Frederick H. Meyer; loving mother of Eric (Kim) Meyer, David (Louann) Meyer, and Linda (Richard) McCormick; Grandmother of Lauren (Brad) Wilson, Olivia (Joseph) Wohar, Nathan (Michelle) McCormick, Connor McCormick, and Matthew McCormick; Great Grandmother of Evelyn, Elowyn, and Augustine "Auggie"; sister of the late Helen Jaracz, Walter Okrutny, Sophia Okrutny, Stella Yaccino, and Joseph Okrutny; sister in law of Joann Okrutny.

It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who passed away peacefully at the age of 95.

She was the heart of her family and found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was always full of laughter, stories, and the comforting aroma of homemade meals—especially the pierogi she lovingly prepared as a proud Polish cook. Her cooking brought family together and kept cherished traditions alive around the table.

She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband Fred, and together they built a family rooted in love, strength, and tradition.

She enjoyed life to the fullest. Whether she was out on the golf course, bowling, or gathered around a table playing cards with friends and family, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of humor. She also loved to travel, always eager to see new places and make new memories.

More than anything, she will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the many lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC, where private family visitations will be held at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. Nellie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Fred, in All Saints P.N.C. Cemetery.
