Patricia A. (Harbin) Scarfone

March 17, 1939

July 5, 2026

On July 5, 2026, Patricia (Harbin) Scarfone, age 87, of Carnegie, Pennsylvania left this world to be with God.

Patricia was born to the late Walter A. and Dorothy (Neumeister) Harbin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, James J. “Jim” Scarfone; and by her brothers, Ronald, Norbert, Walter, and Richard Harbin.

Patricia was the devoted mother of Jeanna Scarfone, Jamie Sarvas, and James Scarfone. She was the cherished grandmother of Mason Scarfone, Angela (Garrett) Browning, Nicholas (Sara) Scarfone, Justin (Jennifer) Iorio, Holly (Joe) Reichard, Taryn Sarvas, and Sam Sarvas. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Eli Scarfone, Max Scarfone, Rowan Browning, Talon Browning, Sophia Iorio, Luke Reichard, Kate Reichard, Gabe Reichard, and Ben Reichard, each of whom brought her endless joy.

Patricia devoted her life to caring for others. She stayed home to raise her children, and as her family grew, she lovingly cared for her grandchildren. She was a constant source of comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love. A self-proclaimed Italian, no one ever left her home hungry. Whether she was preparing a meal, having everyone’s favorite food and drinks on hand, or simply making sure everyone had enough, feeding her family was one of the many ways she expressed her love.

A woman of quiet creativity, Patricia enjoyed drawing, painting, and writing and had the honor of having one of her poems published in a magazine. She found peace in the gentle rhythm of a rainy day, loved spending time outdoors in her gazebo, and was a devoted fan of Elvis and Betty Jean Robinson.

Her Catholic faith remained a guiding force throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Holy Souls Church, where she found strength in her faith and community.

Patricia’s greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people she loved. Her kindness, gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and selfless devotion to her family will be remembered always. Her legacy lives on not only in the generations she helped raise, but in the countless meals shared around her table, the words she wrote, the songs she loved, and the memories her family will forever cherish.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:00AM until time of Blessing Service at 11:30AM at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. Following the Blessing Service, Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband, Jim, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
