October 7, 2025

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Beloved husband of 75 years to the late Alice Braithwaite; Loving father of Bob (Mary) Braithwaite, Linda (Dave) Gross, Carol (late Brian) Campbell, Jack (Karen) Braithwaite, and Mark Braithwaite, and the late Michael (late Maria) and Tom (Joyce survives) Braithwaite; grandfather of Mia (Andy) Hines, Melanie (Jim) Pavlic, Mickey (Tris) Braithwaite, Miles Braithwaite, Tom, Jr. "TJ" (Anna-Kate) Braithwaite, Evan Braithwaite, Katie (Dereck) Thompson, Bobby Braithwaite, Andrea Schaaf, Josh Gross, David "DJ" (Laura) Gross, Ben Campbell, Corey Campbell, Sean (Shari) Braithwaite, Nicole Braithwaite, Ryan Braithwaite, and the late Tiffany Braithwaite; great grandfather of Abby, Michael, James, Danika, Dominic, Izzy, Emma, Timmy, Aidan, Everett, Brody, Tyler, Dylan, and Cooper; great great grandfather of Penelope and Easton; brother of the late Helen (late Paul) Kenavy, James (late Theresa), Donald (late Evelyn), and Paul "Bud" (late Hilda "Pat") Braithwaite; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

Dad had a scholarship to Xavier Collage playing football but missed our mother so bad he quit and had to come home to her. It was an everlasting love to the end.

He also was considering being a priest until he met our Mother and bingo there was 7 kids later.

Long time member of Steamfitter Union Local 449. Then branched out to his own business, ACB Refrigeration Service where he taught his son Jack, all the tricks of the trade.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp.

Al volunteered many hours of coaching St Margarets CYO youth basketball, and Banksville area youth baseball.

Loved to entertain anyone who would listen to his part time, self taught, passion of playing his harmonica. He was really good at one song that we heard a 100,000,00 times, ("Oh Suzana").
He always made you laugh at his corny dad jokes.

At Three Rivers Casino most of the workers knew him by name, and when they saw him, they would say, ("Hey ALBee good to see you again".)

He also took Gin and raisins as an old time remedy to keep his youth.

Dad was loved by many!
