On March 31, 2025, age 82 of Scott Township, Pittsburgh, PA. He was the husband of Barbara J. Cain for almost 55 years. Father of Robert L. Cain (wife Lindsey) and former spouse Shawna Cain. Grandfather of Karyssa (Mike) Stickle, Robert E. Cain, Tavin, and Corbin, and two great grandchildren, Cole and Olivia.

Bob was born and raised in Utica, NY. He was a proud Navy veteran who served as an aircraft mechanic on the USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier from 1964-1968. He then was an aircraft mechanic at the 911th Air Force Base for 30 years. Upon retirement from the 911th, Bob drove a school bus for 10 years in the Upper St. Clair School District.

Bob loved classic cars and was a proud owner of a 1964 1/2 bright red Mustang convertible which he displayed in various car cruises over the years. He could be found frequently working on his convertible down in the garage.

He also was a huge fan of NASCAR racing, Rock 'n Roll music, and was a Titanic history buff.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff of St. Clair Hospital - 5G for the care and compassion extended to Bob.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL, HOME, INC.

Per Bob's wishes, there will be no public visitations. Bob will be laid to rest, with full military honors, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
