"On Saturday, March 1, 2025. Beloved husband of Nancy M. (Honsaker) Gudewicz; loving father of Martin P. (Ariel) Gudewicz and Jacob J. Gudewicz; brother of Dorothy, Fr. John, Richard, and the late Edmund and Emily Gudewicz; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

He attended St. Ignatius Grade School and Scott Twp. High School (Class of 1953). He served in the United States Army and achieved rank of Specialist 3rd Class. After the Army, Martin returned home where he owned the Gudewicz Texaco Service Station in Scott Twp. for 34 years where he worked as an auto mechanic. Martin enjoyed retirement, raising his two boys, and his trips to Las Vegas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 3-7pm at 101 Third St., Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his brother, Fr. John Gudewicz, in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Ss. Simon and Jude Church on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 12:30pm. Following Mass, Martin will be laid to rest with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
