On Saturday, November 29, 2025. Son of the late Saverio and Marietta Oliverio; Husband of the late Kathryn Oliverio; loving father of Terri (Jeff) Reffert, Mary Kay (Ray) Rentler, and Mario (Kelli) Oliverio, Jr.; Proud Grandfather of Megan (Kane) Boomhower, Mackenzie (Tyler) Shetter, Louis Rentler, Sarah Rentler, Domenic Oliverio, Victoria Oliverio, and Rocco Oliverio; Great Grandfather of Maxine Kathryn; Brother of Catherine (late Tom) Torchia, and the late Rose (late Doug) Hare, Dominic (late Alberta) Oliverio, and Louis (late Mary Margaret) Oliverio.
For over 30 years, Dad taught high school English at Holy Innocence and Chartiers Valley High School. Lovingly known as "Mr. O," Dad was always greeted by former students long after leaving teaching. His retirement was spent volunteering at Kane Hospital and Marion Manor. For years, he was also a lector at St. Elizabeth-Ann Seton Parish. His favorite activities later in life were travelling the world with his beloved wife of 50 years, Kathryn, and spending time with his grandchildren. "Papa O" enjoyed attending their games and cub-scout ceremonies. Dad was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, and a proud graduate of Duquesne University. He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Juniper Village at South Hills and Commonwealth Hospice for the expertise and compassion extended to Mario while under their care.
