On Thursday, August 20, 2026. Beloved husband of Connie Lynn Ruberto and the late Julia Russo; Son of the late Luigi and Mary Russo; loving father of Jason (Caprice) Russo, Brenda Rossnagle, and the late Matthew Russo; Grandfather of Hannah Rossnagle. Sam was the youngest of 11 children.

Sam enjoyed walking the Montour Trail. He worked at both Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park. He was a career Air Force veteran who taught survival skills. His main passion and hobby was collecting sports memorabilia.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the SZAFRANSKI-EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., where family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 2-6PM at 101 Third Street, Carnegie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00AM. Following Mass, Sam will be entombed with full military honors in Resurrection Cemetery.
